Education Sunday 2025

Education Sunday takes place each year on the second Sunday of September, and this year is observed on the 14th. Established by the Bishops in 1848, it is one of the oldest Days of Special Prayer in the liturgical calendar of England and Wales.

The CES has produced some resources for schools to use ahead of this year's Education Sunday, and the Rt Rev Marcus Stock, Bishop of Leeds and Chair of the CES, has written a letter to all those within Catholic education to mark the occasion, which is available to view above.
