Join the OIEC World Youth Council 2026-2028

Since its creation, the World Youth Council of the International Office for Catholic Education (OIEC) has enabled young people from all over the world to make their voices heard, share their experiences and actively contribute to the OIEC’s thinking and actions in the service of education.

After two years rich in meetings, projects and commitments in support of the Global Education Pact, the current term is drawing to a close. The OIEC is therefore delighted to launch the call for applications to form the new World Youth Council for the period 2026–2028.

Applications are welcome from young people who are committed, creative, open to intercultural dialogue and keen to contribute to building a more fraternal world through education.

Candidates must:

• Be aged between 16 and 25

• Be in school, at university or young professionals working in the field of education

• Be keen to take part in an international initiative

• Be prepared to devote time to online meetings and the Council’s projects

• Share the values of dialogue, peace, solidarity and hope promoted by the OIEC

Council members will be invited to:

• Represent the voice of young people within the OIEC

• Take part in international consultations and discussions on education

• Contribute to projects linked to the Educational Constellations of Hope, the Global Education Pact and the major challenges of the contemporary world

• Foster exchanges between young people from different countries and cultures

• Demonstrate their commitment to peace, fraternity and the common good

Applicants are invited to submit:

• A covering letter

• A CV or a short personal statement

• A recent photograph

• Any documents or examples of work that demonstrate their commitment
