Nativity! The Children's Commissioner for England attends Catholic primary school's Christmas celebration

The Children's Commissioner for England, Dame Rachel de Souza, dropped by to Our Lady of Victories Catholic Primary School this week to watch its annual nativity play.

Posting on social media, Dame Rachel said the seasonal production had been 'fantastic' following her acceptance of an invitation to visit the Kensington-based primary, which is part of Saint John Southworth Catholic Academy Trust in the Archdiocese of Westminster.

During her visit she also spoke to pupils about their experiences at the school as part of her wider research and national role as Children's Commissioner.

She said: "Such a pleasure to sit down and talk about family, school, safety, and making all children's lives better as we head into Christmas."
