A new short film features Traveller parents discussing the benefits of early years education at a Catholic school, as part of a Department for Education (DfE) initiative.

St Teresa's Catholic Primary School and Nursery, in Darlington, and part of Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust, is one of two primaries profiled which have many years of experience in welcoming children from Traveller communities.

The film is part of a DfE and Department of Health and Social Care scheme called Best Start In Life to provide information and support to parents from pregnancy onwards. It was made by Jake Bowers' Gypsy Media Company and first featured in Travellers Times.
