SAMpeople Recruit is the applicant tracking system of choice for thousands of schools and multi-academy trusts (MATs) across England.

We are pleased and proud to announce that through our recent collaboration with the Catholic Education Service (CES), working extensively with the unique requirements of Catholic schools and MATs, SAMpeople Recruit has streamlined the recruitment process for both candidates and employers. SAMpeople Recruit has developed application forms that have been approved by the CES as appropriate for use in Catholic schools and MATs. Our application process also ensures compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).

Support within education recruitment is needed more than ever today; the labour market continues to remain challenging. Recruitment processes for many schools and trusts, whilst essential include checks and compliance that can be time-consuming, costly and labour-intensive, the concern of losing the best candidates often looms.

SAMpeople Recruit now provides an application process specifically for Catholic schools and MATs. The new functionality improves the speed and ease of application and will help attract the best candidates by deploying a fully digitalised process; all incorporated in the SAMpeople Recruit platform.

Founded by a former School Business Manager, Kathryn Birch, who experienced first-hand the challenges of recruitment and budget constraints in the education sector, SAMpeople Recruit is part of The Key Group & Arbor, the fastest growing education software in the UK. SAMpeople Recruit is now leading the way as the chosen applicant tracking system for hundreds of schools and MATs and provides employers with some of the following benefits:

  • Improved efficiency
  • Ensured compliance with KCSIE
  • CES-approved application forms
  • Full digital application process for candidates
  • Integration with the DfE Teaching Vacancies Service
  • Automated referencing
  • Job board integration to multiple commercial job platforms including Totaljobs, CV Library and more
  • Creatives interview, offer and onboarding packs in seconds

Kathryn Birch, Founder and Managing Director at SAMpeople Recruit, said: “Our vision from the very beginning was to create an ATS platform for schools and MATs. A safe, robust and intuitive system to recruit candidates safely and in-line with KCSIE guidelines. Through my own experience working in schools and MATs for many years, when I was developing the product I knew it had to save time and money without compromising on compliance.  Our team have worked tirelessly, gaining valuable feedback along the way to make sure that we not only support schools with creating an easy to use and effective platform, but we keep the safety of children at the heart of everything we do.

"We are proud to have worked collaboratively with the CES to deliver on the specific requirements for Catholic schools and MATs, enabling them to benefit from a fully digitised recruitment process. Removing barriers for prospective candidates is essential in what remains a challenging recruitment market, we are pleased to be able to introduce SAMpeople Recruit, an online application tracking system that we know will benefit all.”

Paul Barber, Director of the CES, said: “The CES has been pleased to work with SAMpeople Recruit to ensure that its application forms are suitable for use in Catholic schools and MATs. It is important that the CES provides support to enable Catholic schools and MATs attract the best candidates.”
